Patient Education - Things to Avoid

During your pregnancy there are several things you should void for the health of you and your baby.

Foods and drink:
  • Alcohol - all types
  • Caffeine - coffee, tea, sodas
  • Smoking - including second hand smoke
  • Excessive salt or sugar
  • Raw or undercooked meat
  • Raw shellfish - oysters
  • Raw eggs
  • Soft cheese - brie, blue cheese, etc.
Environmental
  • Cat feces and litter boxes
  • Hot tubs and saunas
  • Others who are sick with colds/flu etc.
  • Airplane travel after the 34th week.
